Founder: Mark Hogan
Mark Hogan has been fishing for over 50 years and started making baits for himself and his friends throughout that time. He recently retired and wanted to share them with the public. His friend, Matt England of England Expeditions has helped jumpstart this endeavor. He has seen the need for good quality hair jigs and crankbaits in the central Illinois area and is excited about being able to provide them to the community.

Mark’s son Bryce became interested in the process and started to help out. Wes jumped in shortly after that and now all of the Hogans are involved in the making of Hoggie Baits.
Our Process
Our hand tied hair jigs are made with quality in mind. We start by making our own heads. We then powder coat, fit with 3D eyes, then clear coat for durability. The hair consists of mostly bucktail along with multicolored flashabou to give it extra appeal.
